Ron Bryant Fine Art Studio News

Hello to everyone it seems like ages,

I am writing this from my new studio in Beachmere after moving to this beautiful location in May which seems like ages ago… A lot of people have asked me if I am missing Mt Tamborine and the workshops….not at all! Beachmere is a great place much warmer and still has that village atmosphere…..

As a lot of you know I have intentionally taken this year off running the workshops, as I wanted to get settled in and catch up on a bit  of painting myself. Which I must admit I have found difficult as my new studio space just didn’t feel like home and I felt I was at someone else’s place trying to paint if that makes sense. Finally I have it worked out and have my stuff everywhere which makes me feel much better.

Now for some exciting news that I have to share with you for 2023.
I have been very fortunate to partner up with the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre who have been running for many years and host the iconic Mathew Flinders Art Prize each year.. Some of you will already know the society, and I’m sure you will agree me that they have a wonderful Centre for the arts. Not only do they have spacious rooms for workshops, they also have easy parking to unload our art stuff, have an art gallery with lovely staff and a fabulous coffee shop as well…..so our workshops will be very comfortable…….

For those of you who haven’t visited Bribie before its a bit like Mt Tamborine. It has a beautiful holiday feel to it with many holiday/airbnb places to stay….not expensive, and as we have done in the past, we will organise/recommend places for you to stay for our longer workshops… even show your partner where the best fishing spots are…..

Bribie Island turnoff is at Caboolture on the M1, and it will take you about 1.10 to the island from the Gateway bridge…

As many of our regulars know, we’re very selective with our workshops each year all are targeted to keen artists. We have already booked tutors for 2023 with the line up including Rod Moore, David Hinchcliffe, Jan Lawnikanis, Herman Pekel, John Wilson, Robyn Collier, Leon Holmes, Don Milner…..with more to come.

Retreats: Flinders Ranges including Hahndorf and Clare Valley in September 2023 for 11 days….more to come very soon…..this one will sell out real quickly so enquire now if your interested……

Happy painting and looking forward to catching up soon,

Ron
